THE COMIC RELIEF – NAME YOUR FAVORITE HILARIOUS CHARACTER OR YOUR FAVORITE COMEDY/FUNNY BOOK

Oh gosh. The only comedy book I can think of is My Lady Jane.

22840421

From a comedic standpoint, I’d say that G would have to be my favorite character.

Must I say more? 😀

PASCAL FROM TANGLED

THE LOYAL CHEERLEADER CHAMELEON (NOT A FROG, FLYNN RIDER) – NAME A BOOK THAT STARTED OUT ONE WAY BUT CHANGED FOR YOU

26074194

I wasn’t very deeply immersed in this book. However the ending took a sudden turn for me and it became exciting to read. I don’t know if I will for sure, but I could see myself liking the second book.

POCAHONTAS’S SLY AND SNEAKY RACCOON FRIEND – NAME A PLOT TWIST THAT YOU DID NOT SEE COMING

17927395

For me, anything that’s remotely unexpected comes from this book. I still haven’t gotten to book 3, I will, but I’m waiting until I can borrow it.

RAJAH FROM ALADDIN / FLOUNDER FROM THE LITTLE MERMAID

GENTLE WITH THEIR PRINCESS BUT PROTECTIVE WITH EVERYONE ELSE – NAME YOUR FAVORITE BEST FRIEND IN A NOVEL

19063

Most likely Max. He’s really sweet to Liesel, and she to him. I just really love their friendship in general, it’s very heartwarming.

louis  sebastian  beauty and the beast gang

LOUIS FROM THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG / SEBASTIAN FROM THE LITTLE MERMAID / COGSWORTH, LUMIERE, MRS. POTTS, & CHIP FROM BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

THE MUSICAL BUNCH – NAME A NOVEL WHERE MUSIC PLAYED A BIG PART OR MADE YOU WANT TO SING ITS PRAISES

I just had my review out for this one.

It’s about a girl named Ren who goes to a music school in Vienna where all the legends learn. like Bach, Mozart, Hayden, etc. It’s really cute, and the art is great! This was the only other book I could think of that’s musically oriented.

maximus

MAXIMUS FROM TANGLED

THE OBSTACLE IN FLYNN RIDER’S WAY – NAME A CHARACTER THAT FACES A LOT OF OBSTACLES

29937983

Kendra had went through A LOT. She’s been alive for centuries, and during that time she’s been either getting herself out of sticky situations, or helping other people get out of theirs. Every time she does help, it never ends the way it’s supposed to (exapt for a few instances.) She caused a boy to turn into a beast, accidentally made a mermaid turn to sea foam, and got banned from France after trying to help the prince. And these are just the things she’s done that’s NOT in this novel.

FAVORITE FAMILY DYNAMICS IN A NOVEL

16068905

There was a pretty good sister dynamic in Fangirl that was pretty realistic. I bet it helped that the main character was so relatable at times.

ray  3 fairies

RAY FROM THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG / 3 FAIRIES FROM SLEEPING BEAUTY

THE ADVICE GIVERS – BOOK THAT MOST IMPACTED YOUR LIFE

7171637

I’m mentioning the whole series.

Cassie Clare books in general are pretty impactful, but I felt like I got a lot out of this series. There’s many great quotes too, I may not have any on the top of my head, but they’re there!

NAME A CHARACTER THAT STEALS THE SHOW

23609445

Magnus steals the show way to many times, but I’m not complaining. 😀

OPPOSITES ATTRACT – NAME YOUR FAVORITE OR WORST OPPOSITE ATTRACTS PAIRING

9275658

I feel like June and Day’s pairing was pretty good. Sure, it was the only book I could think of with an “opposites attract” theme, but I still like them together. 🙂

  1. Max and Liesel’s relationship was genuinely sweet. I liked how Zusak showed such an old brother and little sister bond between them. I feel like the Hubermann household in general (including Max of course!) was just a well written family. The Book Thief in general had a really good grasp on human relationships, each of them was memorable in their own way.
Magnus totally stole the show, in every series he’s in. But who can complain? He’s awesome. I don’t mind all the love he gets, instead I think it’s well deserved.
While I felt the romance in Legend was rushed, I think June and Day made a good pair. Would I have preferred them being a couple in the second book, and friends with subtext in the first? Yes, because June was tracking down Day because she thought he killed her brother. That’s a lot of bad blood. But I still think they’re a good couple.

    1. Exactly! The family dynamic was written really well, and I got a good sense of the character traits because of it. Zusak really showed human relationships really well, and they pulled at your heart.
I love Magnus! I feel the hype surrounding him is well deserved too, because he’s such a fun character to read about. He never fails to entertain. 🙂
True, I think that June and Day becoming friends first would help make it seem lesser rushed. Because June didn’t even like Day, and now they have a strong relationship with each other. I still think they are a good couple nonetheless. 😉 (Though I do also understand that the rush of the romance was trying to draw in the readers. However, there are ways where you can slow the pace and still capture everyone’s attention.)

      1. Zusak is amazing at writing characters and their interactions. No one is as simple as they seem in his stories.

When I first got into Clare’s works, I was worried Magnus would leave me feeling underwhelmed because of his hype. I was pleasantly surprised to see that wasn’t the case. He’s fun, but also an important character.

Exactly. June hated Day, and for a decent reason (she thought he was a murderer, after all). But I am not denying the fact that they have chemistry and make a good pair. I just would’ve preferred if it were a bit slower paced. I like a good slowburn, especially in those kinds of situations. They feel more real.

      2. Yup, his characters are all pretty complex. 😄 Ah, I went into her books blindly. 😅 I didn’t know about much of the hype until after I read the books. But Magnus was my favorite character before Will came along. He’s still one of my favorite reoccurring characters, but Will is still my favorite character overall. 😉 And it would have felt more real, now that I think about it. Like their relationship is evolving into something bigger, and the build up to their relationship would feel more rewarding.

  2. G was definitely my favorite from My Lady Jane, too. He was just there and so hilarious. And then the whole horse thing. XD And oooh I’m getting ready to read Legend soon, so I’m super excited to see it mentioned here especially with an opposites attract favorite. 😀 And Magnus surely is a show stealer! Wonderful answers, and thanks so much for doing the tag, B! ❤ Your answers were great. 😀

    1. Haha! G was a great character, and he had such a fun sense of humor. (No horse puns, lol.) I hope you like Legend! 😉 And no problem, I had a lot of fun! It’s a great tag! Also thanks! ❤️
