  1. I want to read Wolf Children and Orange so bad. A local theater here is supposed to be playing the anime Wolf Children sometime this year. my husband saw the commerical but didnt’ write down the date. ARGH! But I want to see it and read it.

    1. That’s so cool! Haha, maybe Google will disclose the time. That’s how I try to find out if any anime films are playing on the big screen (however nothing plays in my local theater). If you see it, I hope you like it! I’m still trying to decide if I should watch the film, or read the manga first.

  2. Watch the Wolf Children movie first. That was the first one; then the director had it adapted to manga. But I recommend both; I haven’t read the whole manga, but it looks absolutely stunning. And the director has had each of his movies (except MAYBE his first) turned into manga. The Summer Wars manga is amazing! (As is the movie)

    1. THANK YOU! This makes it easier to decide. I only have the manga, but I’ll try to search for the movie! You know a lot of great info on this! 😄 I haven’t heard of the director’s other movies, but I’d like to look into them! Also I’ll have to look for The Summer Wars manga now. 😉

      1. Yeah, I was running low on Ghibli to watch to I started looking into other anime movies 😅. I’ve only seen Summer Wars (by the same director) but I found all four of his films at Walmart. The other two would be The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and The Boy and The Beast.

      2. I’ve heard of some of those films! I guess I never realized they were his. 😅 I still have a lot of Ghibli films I need to see, I found Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle at Best Buy, like you once suggest! I’ll watch those during the summer. I’ve also wanted to watch Your Name this year, but it didn’t play in a theater near me, so I’ll wait until that one comes out.

      3. I’m more excited to watch it now! I saw that anime section, but my Best Buy didn’t have much at the time. I hope you get to see Your Name, I hear it’s pretty good. 😄 (The animation looks flawless!)

  3. Fantastic list! I absolutely LOVED Six of Crows, Legend, and A Darker Shade of Magic, so I hope you will too! I’ve watched Wolf Children and thought it was brilliant. Seeing as I haven’t read the book, I can’t tell you which one to go for first, but I think you might really enjoy the movie. It’s a bit slow, but worth it in the end!

      1. No problem! 😀 And honestly, KissAnime hasn’t been working for anyone lately. The ads have gotten to be too much and it buffers too frequently. Hopefully 9anime stays just as useful as it has been!

  4. I LOVE the Shades of Magic series by VE Schwab. If you are into young adult/fantasy books, it will be a good read.
Marie Lu’s Legend is on my list too 🙂
I watched the Wolf Children movie (though haven’t read the book), loved it. Made me laugh and cry 🙂
    Enjoy!

    1. YES! Thank you! I love hearing great things about book on my TBR, it makes me want to read them right away, haha. And I’m glad you loved Wolf Children! I assumed it would be a tearful one, now that you mentioned it. I don’t think I’ll last dry-eyed, haha. 😊 Thank you!
