Thanks!

I want to thank an amazing person, and a fantastic blogger, for tagging me! Joana @ Book Needers! Thank you so much! After this post, everyone needs to click the link to view her site!

WHAT WAS THE LAST BOOK YOU MARKED AS READ?

1988491

Wild One‘s a good series so far. I’m reading it slowly right now; I have less time to read manga. I hope I still stick with it, it seems promising.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

10626594

I had a rocky start with the first two chapters, but I’m really liking this book so far. It’s taking me awhile to read it, but not that long.

WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO READ NEXT?

13611052

I plan on buddy reading The Night Circus. I’ll start this very soon.

DO YOU USE THE STAR RATING SYSTEM?

Yes I do, but I use snowflakes. ❄

I don’t know, I thought it was cool. Y’know, for the ice part of my name.

ARE YOU DOING A 2017 READING CHALLENGE?

Yes! But it’s already completed because I cheated and read more Manga then YA.

I’m sorry!!! T^T

DO YOU HAVE A WISHLIST?

Well, technically my TBR on Goodreads is my wishlist, so I just go by that. But I have a mental wishlist for the books I definitely want to read next.

WHAT BOOK DO YOU PLAN TO BUY NEXT?

I don’t really plan buying books, I just buy what’s there. So sometimes I’ll get a book I’ve never even heard of, or sometimes one I forgot about.

I’m a mess, I know.

DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVORITE QUOTES?

My favorite quote is “Never trust a duck.” — Will Herondale, Cassandra Clare

However, I’m going to find some more for you!

“I am frequently underestimated. I think it’s because I’m short.” — Amie Kaufman, Illuminae

“Will you quit shouting and let me bleed in peace!” — Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

“’Miss Rook, on a scale of one to pomegranate, how dangerous would you say this situation has become?’

‘Dangerous?’ I faltered.

‘Yes, Miss Rook,’ prompted Jackaby, ‘in your expert opinion.’

‘On a scale of one to pomegranate?’ I followed his lead, checking over the notes I had scribbled in my notepad and speaking in my most audible, serious whisper. ‘I should think … acorn? Possibly badger. Time alone will tell.’”

—William Ritter, Beastly Bones

“’When you came after me at the tavern, you nearly died.’ He looked wrecked at the memory. ‘You nearly died, and then who would I have argued with?’

‘You’d have found someone.’

‘No.’ He stepped toward her. ‘I only want to argue with you.’”

— Cynthia Hand, My Lady Jane

“’No horse jokes,’ he said.

‘My lord, I apologize for the horse joke. If you put down the book — unharmed! — I will give you a carrot.’

He brandished the book at her. ‘Was that a horse joke?’

‘Neigh.’

‘Was that a horse joke?’”

— Cynthia Hand, My Lady Jane

Alex Flinn, Cassandra Clare, Sarah J. Maas, Kiera Cass, Kasie West, Holly Black, Maggie Stiefvater, Brittany Cavallaro, Bisco Hatori, Julietta Suzuki, Amie Kaufman, William Ritter, Becca Fitzpatrick, Rainbow Rowell, and Anna Bank.

  1. Thank you so much! 😀 I always love super much to read the quotes! There are so many to choose from! I definitely identify with “I am frequently underestimated. I think it’s because I’m short.” 😛 And I have yet to read Illuminae that is sitting on my shelf gathering dust… Also, I am super excited for you to read Nigh Circus! I also have that one, but for some reason, I haven’t really got around to it… Let me know if you liked it!
Also, have you read a manga called Dororo? It’s an old one and a pretty different story. It only contains 3 books and I know that it’s not for everybody, and normally it’s not my style either but I really liked it!

And thank you, I hope you like The Night Circus too, and I’ll let you know how it goes! 😉 I’ve never heard of that manga, but I’m interested to check it out! Thank you so much, I love manga recommendations! 😄

  2. OMG these quotes were everything! I need to read My Lady Jane ASAP D: And Beastly Bones sounds hilarious XD
I read a lot of manga and comics too, sometimes, but I don’t like to use them for the challenge because it wouldn’t be a challenge anymore hahaha (I just leave the date out and it doesn’t count)
Great post, as always! I have The Scorpio Races and The Night Circus on my TBR.

    1. Haha, thank you!! I really liked both of those books, you should try them out sometime! That’s a good idea for Goodreads. I just like keeping the date because I go back to look at them once and a while to see which one I’ve read first and what not. The Scorpio Races was pretty good, I really liked it. Also I’m currently reading The Night Circus, and it’s great so far. 😊

    1. I loved both of those books!! The Night Circus especially, it has a lot of lengthy descriptions but it’s so vivid, and worth reading. The Scorpio Races some really good character relationships (between the characters and their horses 😉). I hope you like them once you decide to pick them up! (I have a lot of books I’m neglecting too.)
